I also spent my 2 years at CONA serving as Student Council President. It looks good on a resume, but the work that goes into doing it right is as bad as having a couple of extra courses every semester. Was it worth it? Sure, why not? I had the chance to travel to some places I wouldn't have otherwise and I picked up some good skills and got to see how the administration treats its students (an eye-opening experience for sure). But I like to think we left things a bit better off, even if (apparently) everything fell apart after our Council left.

But oh well...
Back To MUN

Ya know, I said I'd never go back to school again once I finished my IT program. But you also know what they say about never saying 'never'. So, as I put this site together (August 12, 2003), I've just finished my first 5 courses toward a B.Ed., specializing in teaching Technology Education in the Intermediate/High School system.

Many of us thought that this was going to be a computer course, but needless to say we got a wee bit of an awakening. So far we've done some introductory electronics and computer hardware, woodworking, residential design & model fabrication, multimedia production and some curriculum theory work. Not exactly what we had in mind, but no regrets in the meantime. We've all learned some very valuable skills with more good stuff to come.

Update: August 22- Just got my marks...5 A's...I think that's almost as many as I had when I did my whole first degree!!
