THE 2006 EDITION OF THE MARCHING SOUND OF CLASS BAND CAMP IS OFFICIALLY HERE!!!! PLEASE ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING DATES AND REPORT ONLY ON THE DATE THAT APPLIES TO YOU:
ALL SECTION LEADERS/OFFICERS ARE TO REPORT ON AUGUST 10, 2006 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9AM-12PM
ALL PERSONNEL AUDITIONING FOR THE FLAG/MAJORETTE AND DANCE SQUADS, ALL FIRST TIME MARCHERS AND ALL PERCUSSION PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT ON AUGUST 12, 2006 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9AM-12PM
ALL OTHER RETURNING BAND MEMBERS ARE TO REPORT ON AUGUST 16, 2006 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9AM-12PM.

Donations to the Sound of Class
For over a half century, the Elizabeth City State University Marching Vikings (AKA "Sound of Class") have entertained audiences from their home at Roebuck Stadium to Shea Stadium in New York. The Elizabeth City State University Bands are housed in the new Fine Arts Center, a state-of-the-art building that includes an auditorium, a band room with instrument repair facility, and an amphitheater for outdoor concerts. Membership in the band is open to any student enrolled at Elizabeth City State University, with virtually every academic discipline on campus represented in the band. The primary goal of the Sound of Class is to present its audiences with shows that are visually appealing and musically exciting. The Sound of Class is one of the most visible and appealing student organizations on campus.
