About Me

Hi there~ Thanks for visiting my site! My name is Vivian Choi.
This website is a project for one of my classes, Internet English.
Although it's not perfect, I am very proud to have made my first website using HTML.
I chose the topic "Eating Right" because I felt that many college girls in Korea had unhealthy eating habits. It's so contagious that even I have been a victim to a crash diet. After totally ruining my health at the cost of just a few pounds, I swore never to starve myself again. Since then, I've been trying to develop smart eating habits - and I have made it my mission to help others eat right as well.
So... here I am! Let me tell you a little more about myself.

I'm a freshman at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. I love Ewha.. though it might be better if there were some guys around, too. I volunteer as a campus tour guide, so let me know if you would ever like to visit our school. My major is International Studies, where our goal is to become "global leaders of the 21st century." When I'm not pursuing such big ambitions, I enjoy drawing, reading, shopping, and playing tennis. I also love going to rock concerts and hip-hop clubs. After school, I feel happiest when there's time to just sit around at coffee shops chatting with my friends.

Weekends are usually reserved for my family, whom I treasure more than anything else in the world. You can tell we are a family right away because we look so similar. My parents are very strict (11 o'clock curfew?) but I know it's because they care about me so much. The four of us would do anything for each other.
The picture on the left was taken on the day of my high school graduation. There's my mother, who works at Ewha University (mother-daughter alumni!) and my brother, who is a fourth-year medical student. Unfortunately, my father couldn't be with us that day. He lives in the United States, working for Hyundai Motors. Needless to say, we miss him a lot.

I used to live with my dad in the States, until I came back to Korea last year. Nearly half of my life was spent in California - five years when I was young, and three years during high school. The picture on the left is from last Christmas with my best friends Yumin, Minha, and Narae. I miss our foursome so much! We've all went our separate ways for college, but we still keep in touch often. Every time I go visit my dad and friends in California, I feel like I'm right at home - and I always will.
Can you tell I'm a California girl at heart? At first, I had a hard time adjusting to Korea. Then I was lucky enough to meet great friends in the Division of International Studies at Ewha University. Most of them have lived abroad, so they know what it's like to be in between two countries. Though it's been less than a year, we have already gotten very close to each other. The picture on the right is from our recent Halloween party. I love our DIS girls because we don't just study hard, we really know how to have fun, too!

As you can see, I'm a very affectionate, outgoing person who cares a lot about family and friends.
I love meeting new people, so feel free to e-mail me to make comments about this website, or just to say hi!
