Giving my goodbyes ahead,
I scribble a heavy poem,
Though it is not to be said,
I'll try this one gentle hymn:
My fortune is just a drift,
You told me to look beyond,
And I shall make out the rift
Which divides us where we stand;
I am aware of your roots
Founting from the wild frontier,
And I know your music flutes
Somewhere again in Kashmir;
Whatever be, I take leave,
Of a past which never ends,
Cast me light and I'll not grieve
For a love with no amends.
