What's this page all about?

This page is about the Z-machine, an imaginary computer invented in 1979 for the purposes of playing interactive fiction. There will be more information about it here someday, but I've only just got this page up.

So what's really on this page then?

At the moment, the only thing of use here are some patches I wrote for the ZIP Z-machine interpreter to enable it to use my interpreter-independent Quetzal save-file format, a similar set for Frotz, a small set of files for testing whether interpreters support the format correctly, and the latest version (1.4) of the format itself.
