This page is created and maintained by Alex Shmidt, a software developer and an occational technical writer. I'm the author of the Ringo techinque published by the Dr. Dobb's Journal in 1994 and Regspy95 utility which can be found in Ron Petrusha's book 'Inside the Windows 95 Registry' by O'Reilly and Associates, Inc. My most recent published work is the two-part article in June-July issues of the Windows Developer's Journal called 'Inside the Win32 VxD Services'.

Welcome to my Software Jams!

The main purpose of this page is to reflect my interests in operating systems internals, undocumented interfaces, reverse-engineering and software development tools. Here, you can expect to get free sample software along with some explanations of its operating environments. While the samples are not exceptionally important by themselves, it's my hope that the software and technical tips you find here will be generally useful if not entertaining or maybe (who knows?) inspirational. All opinions expressed at this site, technical or otherwise, are mine and mine alone.

Have comments or questions about this site or sample software?
