In order to promote in the campus a climate of mutual trust, concern and cooperation, various co-curricular activities are held and student organizations and clubs are established. These activities and organizations/clubs serve as venues for fostering positive/proper social attitude, cooperation, initiative, responsibility and Christian leadership among students.

Student Coordinating Council (SSC). The Student Coordinating Council is the highest student government and the Student body elects its officers. It serves as the forum for articulation of the ideals and sentiments of the student sand and aims for a genuine dialogue with the studentry, the faculty and the administration. Toward this end, it shall promote the development of the organization as an instrument of student participation in the attainment of the objective of Siena College. The Assistant Dean for Student Activities acts as the SSC adviser.

Student Publication. The Red Lily is the official student publication of the College Department. It is governed by the Editorial Board which is constituted by qualified student journalists in accordance with the approved Editorial Policies and in consonance with R.A. 7079. It serves as the venue for the responsible exercise of press freedom by the students. The Assistant Dean for Student Activities appoints an adviser/moderator for the Red Lily from the list of names proposed by the Editorial Board. The appointment is approved by the College Dean.

    Student Clubs

1.      Confraternity of Mother Francisca Del Espiritu Santo (COMFES) is organized in every school/ community of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena to make the spirit of spirit of Mother Francisca known and alive in contemporary times. Its specific objectives are:

a.)   To make Mother Francisca known to all peoples

b.)   To encourage people to pray through Mother Francisca

c.)    To show that Mother Francisca’s life and examples are very relevant in out times

d.)   To assist the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena in making Mother Francisca’s spirit alive

e.)   To undertake services intended specially for the youth, the sick and the poor in our midst.

 

2.      Honors Society aims to instill in the student’s heart the spirit of cooperation by sharing their talents with others through team teaching. This club is made up of Dean’s List students. One main project of the Honor Society is the ALAY DUNONG, which extends tutorial service to the poor children of our adopted barrios.

 

3.      Munting Tanghalan enhances the talents of the Sienans in the field of the performing arts allows the expression through drama their ideals and values.

4.      AHRMS prepares the students in their role as productive employees in the field of Hotel and Restaurant industry.

 

5.      Travel and Tour Club develops the educational and cultural foundation of students through travel.

 

6.      Athletic Club promotes the Christian spirit of friendship and self-respect through sports.

 

7.      Computer Club enhances proficiency in secretarial and computer skills and trains the members in planning and executing organizational activities.

 

8.      Future Managers Club (FUMAC) helps students become more self-reliant, creative, socially responsive and productive as employees, entrepreneurs or managers.

 

9.      Peer Facilitators Club cultivates a healthy relationship among students by developing the values of reaching out and helping their fellow students.
