Quick Repair of Windows 98/SE
Not for AOL users!!!!

1 VERY IMPORTANT Warning!!If you have updated Internet Explorer so that it appears in the Control panel/Add Remove Programs list then go to remove it.You will be given 3 options.Take the option to,"Return to original configuration" and re-boot the system.If this option doesn't work you can download and run the free Ie Eradicator but only foe use with Win95/98/ME

Have your product ID handy just in case but you most likely won't need it.

1:Copy your win98 folder off your CD to the hard drive.
(If you don't do this you will have to make a win98 bootdisk from the Control panel/Add Remove Programs/Startup disk or get one from Boot disk and run setup.exe off the Win98 Cdrom disk from dos).

Note:A Control Panel made Win98/SE boot disk moves your Cdrom drive letter down one so if it was D: then now it's E: so at the A: prompt in dos from the boot floppy you would type e: and press Enter and then type setup and press Enter.

2:Open the Win98 folder and double click on the setup.exe and the over-install/repair will begin.

3:Once finished you*MUST" clean up the Registry(Use Regcleaner.exe links on my Free Programs Page and also the Device Manager(Control Panel/System/Device Manager)using Safemode(F8 bootup/Safemode as per Safemode/Drivers
