Brattacus and Lucinda interviewed Ian Baddeley and David Live (both from the Drugs) recently - which was a lot of fun... the interview will go to air just prior to their next tour which will be in support of their next single "Was sport better in the 70's?"... keep an eye on this site for the exact date!

Exciting news: Kingpin 440 will join us in our Melbourne studio to share their touring stories from their venture to Sydney this weekend as a two-piece (I hope that this does not make them a bikini!!)
We are hoping to have Ian Baddley from The Drugs chatting to us just prior to their next lot of Melbourne dates.
We will be looking at doing some specials for you on the radio in the coming months... stay tuned for details.

I have BRIEFLY updated a few things on the page... there is still a virus lurking on my computer, so I have done minimal things... like adding some more gigs!! How else would we cope and manage to sort out our social agendas without the gig guide on the Salubrious site? Huh? ; )

Salubrious Melodies 2: Exposed hasn't been forgotten... in fact, it looks as though it is getting closer to completion with some interest from a few awesome bands and recently completed recordings. I'll keep you posted!

Mach Pelican will be releasing their album soon - yes, we here at Salubrious Melodies have ALREADY heard it!! It is great!! There is even a cover of a Radio Birdman song (track 12)! (Wouldn't it be funny, once it is released, to play the original Birdman "Burn my eye" and talk about them covering Mach Pelican track!! Might just have to try this on air... hehehe)

Thursdays 5-7pm it can be heard on 89.1FM in the Blue Mountains... and Thursdays 6-8pm it can be heard in Melbourne on 94.1FM! This is exciting news!! As well, Tim and Lucinda are joined by Tristan and Brattacus!! So the team is bigger and better! And, we ALL love Australian punk!

Great news!!! UNPAID DEBT will be releasing their next cd in the first week of September!! You will be able to order it through MGM anywhere in the country... so there really is no excuse not to get yourselves a copy!!! What I have heard so far is fantastic!!

This week Tim and Lucinda will co-present the radio show! This is the first time in a VERY long time that we have done a show together! so, at 5pm on Thursday, tune into 89.1fm.
There WON'T be a show on 29th June as I won't compete with Little More Than You and The Drugs - who are both playing nearby that same night - at Kelts and GW's respectively.
So, all of those reasons for coming along on the 29th have now been transferred to the 20th...
My big plead session: please PLEASE PLEASE come to the Gearins on the 20th to support the notion that there need not be a cover charge... support a pub that supports bands! Pubs that support bands are, in my experience, few and far between... so make the effort.
The Shambles have just released an ep - you can get a copy of it for only $2!!!! I gave it some airplay today - it is great!

The new owner has agreed to pay bands so there will be no cover charge. Come along and show him this is a worthwhile idea!! They will be on 20th and 29th of June.
Anyone who is a friend of mine (Lucinda) is asked to make the effort to come along to the one on the 29th... there are three really good reasons to be there and those who know me will know what these are!
We saw Unpaid Debt and Crank last night... wow! Although this is not a review (hehehe), I should mention that Tim managed to break 5 strings in the first song! What a rock star! Go Tim!!!

I saw Fez Perez for the first time on Friday night... I really can't put into words how incredible they are... They hope to be up this way in July, so I will try to get some Western Sydney/Blue Mountains shows happening for them (AND US!!!)

Flaccid Goat Fluger (Vic) are on the lookout for a new guitarist, as Gurnid left... also - hear their latest recordings tomorrow on Salubrious Melodies between 5 and 7pm on 89.1fm.
Addiction 64 (Vic) are also after a new guitarist as Matt left the band last week.
The Last Hemeroids (NSW) are apparently no longer with us as a band...

Last night was the last show for Chloe and Joe in Little More Than You... and the second show for Unpaid Debt with Joe... twas an awesome night!! And the hundreds of kids that were there had a fantastic time!

This weekend I will be working on track orders and getting things ready to deliver to the MasterER of cds and the artwork should be ready for Monday... that leaves a day or so to get the layout sorted before sending everything off to be pressed... so the end of the month deadline should be about right!! Well, from all accounts the gig at Goulburn Pools on Saturday was AWESOME... Well done to the organisers, the bands and the kids that went along...
