Salubrious Melodies creates compilation CD's as part of the philosophy of supporting local bands... The bands that feature on the CD's represent some of the various styles punk...
True to form, Salubrious Melodies CD's are designed to give the profits back to the bands - the people who deserve it!!!
Other compilations don't do this, and thus some capitalistic middleperson sits back and reaps in the money from the bands that they exploit!
Bands contribute some money towards the cost of making the CD's and receive an amount of CD's to sell... which is how they make some money...
Any CD's that are left over are predominantly used for promotion and any money raised by Lucinda goes towards the next compilation.
