The Road Not Taken
By Robert Frost

The roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Thought as far that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had tradden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I...
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Examination
By Lilian Toh

Examinations, Examinations,
A time for one's full concentration,
You've got to arrange the facts,
Or else you're going to lose track!

History, History, History,
Simply no one's fantasy;
Why learn about something that makes you yawn,
About what happened when you weren't born!

Mathematics, Mathematics,
Everyone does this, even critics;
Remembering every equation and formula,
And also busting your mind with algebra!

Physics, Physics, Physics,
A subject of logic without logic;
Why is it "Force = Mass x Acceleration"
And not "Friends + Weekend = Party Sensation"?!

Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemistry,
Fighting with molecules without victory;
Why bother to learn the size of an atom?
We're bettter off making things that go "Boom!"

Biology, Oh Biology!
Cells, animals and human anatomy;
Sometimes they're almost interesting to learn about,
At times they turn your stomach inside-out!

Examinations, Examinations,
There is simply no explanation;
There's nothing much more to say,
Except "EXAMINATION, GO AWAY!"

Accounting Cycle of Love
By Unknown

I will credit you my love
If you debit me your love
I will post journal account
To the ledger of my heart
I will bring down the balance
And double rule the amount
Balance will be extended
To the worksheet of our romance
Trial balance will show
We are meant for each other
Adjusting entries, my dear
Will make our love forever
Profit & loss statement
Tells us what will happen
If our balance love
Will be one and the same
Closing entries, my dear
Will lead us to church
Post-closing trial balance
Continued to be our guide.
Dear, accounting is finished
Let's see the balance sheet
Does our business profit?
Oh, my god
A dozen kids!!!!

Chance
By Unknown

There are times in life...
When the person you will love,
For the rest of your life.
Walks into your life.

Sometimes, just sometimes...
You hurt that person,
You push them away.
Not meaning to,
But you do.
Because you do this...
You lose that person,
They walk away.

At times...
You are afraid,
To go on,
after this.
But what choice do you have?
All you can do...
Is hope that one day,
If that person really was the one.
You will meet again.
And if, just by chance...
You get that second chance,
Remember the past.
Learn from your mistakes,
And never let them happen again.
And by doing this...
You will find out,
That a lifetime of happiness awaits.

If kisses were water,
I'd give u a sea,
If hugs were leaves,
I'd give u a tree,
If spaces were love,
I'd give eternity,
And if u are true and sincere to me,
I'll keep all my love just for thee.
And every morning when you open your eyes,
Tell yourself that it is special.

Every day, every minute, every second
is a gift from God.
You've got to dance like nobody's watching,
and love like it's never going to hurt.

People say true
friends must always hold hands,
but true friends
don't need to hold hands
because they know the
other hand will always be there.

This Will Make Your Head Grow Dizzy
By Unknown

Dearest creature in creation,
Study English pronunciation.
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse.
I will keep you, Suzy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye, your dress will tear.
So shall I! Oh hear my prayer.

Just compare heart, beard, and heard,
Dies and diet, lord and word,
Sword and sward, retain and Britain.
(Mind the latter, how it's written.)
Now I surely will not plague you
With such words as plaque and ague.
But be careful how you speak:
Say break and steak, but bleak and streak;
Cloven, oven, how and low,
Script, receipt, show, poem, and toe.

Billet does not rhyme with ballet,
Bouquet, wallet, mallet, chalet.
Blood and flood are not like food,
Nor is mould like should and would.
Stranger does not rhyme with anger,
Neither does devour with clangour.
Souls but foul, haunt but aunt,
Font, front, wont, want, grand, and grant,
Shoes, goes, does. Now first say finger,
And then singer, ginger, linger,
Real, zeal, mauve, gauze, gouge and gauge,
Marriage, foliage, mirage, and age.

Query does not rhyme with very,
Nor does fury sound like bury.
Refer does not rhyme with deafer.
Foeffer does, and zephyr, heifer.
Compare alien with Italian,
Dandelion and battalion.
Sally with ally, yea, ye,
Eye, I, ay, aye, whey, and key.

Face, but preface, not efface.
Phlegm, phlegmatic, ass, glass, bass.
Large, but target, gin, give, verging,
Ought, out, joust and scour, scourging.
Ear, but earn and wear and tear
Do not rhyme with here but ere.

Seven is right, but so is even,
Hyphen, roughen, nephew Stephen,
Monkey, donkey, Turk and jerk,
Ask, grasp, wasp, and cork and work.
Pronunciation--think of Psyche!
Is a paling stout and spikey?
Won't it make you lose your wits,
Writing groats and saying grits?
It's a dark abyss or tunnel:
Strewn with stones, stowed, solace, gunwale,
Islington and Isle of Wight,
Housewife, verdict and indict.

Finally, which rhymes with enough _
Though, through, plough, or dough, or cough?
Hiccough has the sound of cup.
My advice is to give up!!!

The English Language
By Unknown

Some words have different meanings,
And yet they're spelt the same.
A cricket is an insect,
To play it--it's a game.
On every hand, in every land,
it's thoroughly agreed,
the English language to explain is very hard indeed.

Some people say that you're a dear,
yet dear is far from cheap,
a jumper is a thing you wear,
yet a jumper has to leap.
It's very clear, it's very queer,
and pray who is to blame
for different meanings to some words
pronounced and spelt the same?

A little journey is a trip,
a trip is when you fall.
It doesn't mean you have to dance,
whene'er you hold a ball.
Now here's a thing that puzzles me:
musicians of good taste
will very often form a band,
I've one around my waist!

You spin a top, go for a spin,
or spin a yarn maybe _
yet every spin's a different spin
as you can plainly see.
Now here's a most peculiar thing,
'twas told to me as a joke _
a dumb man wouldn't speak a word,
yet seized a wheel and spoke.

A door may often be ajar,
but give the door a slam,
and then your nerves receive a jar _
and there are pots of jam.

You've heard of course of traffic jams,
and jams you give your thumbs.
And adders too--one is a snake,
the other adds up sums.

A policeman is a copper,
it's a nickname (impolite)
yet a copper in the kitchen
is an article you light.
On every hand, in every land,
it's thoroughly agreed _
the English language to explain is very hard indeed.

Pahlawan Dunia
By KongSY

Di sudut sana,
Insan manusia berasa gemirap,
Hidup dalam ketakutan,
Diselubungi kegelisahan,
Berusaha mencari sejalur cahaya,
Untuk mewarnakan hidup semula,

Di kelilingnya,
Bintang gemirang berkeliaran,
Mencari mangsa demi mangsa,
Yang tawanya senantiasa,
Bermain di bibir mereka.

Kini,
Darah aku menggelagak,
Melihat pernderitaan mereka,
Ingin aku hapuskan malapetaka itu,
Ingin aku pupuskan binatang hina itu.

Namun,
Yang masalahnya,
Bukannya mudah hendak
Menjadi
Pahlawan
Dunia
