Here is some info from the 1880 census on 9th generation, David F. Crockett and family. They lived in Chetopa, Neosho County, Kansas.

i.David Crocket -age 40 -1840- Ohio- self -married white male-Farmer
ii.Edgar Crocket -age 7 -1873- Ohio- son -single white male
iii.Frank Croket -age 18 -1862- Ohio- son -single white male-Works on farm
iv.John Crocket -age 20 -1860- Ohio- son -single male-Works on farm
v.Merinda Crocket -age 38 -1842- Ohio- wife- married white female-Keeps house
vi.Oma Crocket -age 13 -1867- Ohio- dau- single white female

I left the names as they were spelled in the census. All other Crocketts still had 2 T's and were easy to find. I had to drop a T to find David and his family. And Marinda is spelled Merinda here.

While I was in checking the 1880 Census I looked for David's sister,Martha and her family. It has been said by many family members that David and Martha Crockett were brother and sister. And that Frank H. and Marinda Pendergrass were brother and sister, and how they Frank and Martha married and then David and Marinda married. In the 1880 census (which is free at Ancestry right now) Frank says his parents were from NY and OH, while Martha says her parents were from OH and ENG. Its just a little tidbit, I thought ya'll would like to know about. Here's the info in the 1880 census for Frank and Martha Pendergrass. They also lived in Neosho County,Kansas but in the township of Galesburg.

i.Frank H. -age 48- 1832- Ohio- self- married white male-Railroad Agent
ii.Martha -age 44- 1836- Ohio- wife- married white female-Keeps House
iii.David -age 18- 1862- Ohio- son- single white male-Farmer
iv.John -age 20- 1860- Ohio- son- single white male-Farmer
