It all started on March 6,1951 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I was brought into this world having 1 older sister and 2 loving parents. As the years passed I was blessed with 6 more sisters. And I might add, that makes 8 girls in one house.

It was a typical childhood going to catholic schools for 12 years. We were never bored because we lived by the beach, and there was always something to do.

As the years passed we all grew up and started leaving home one by one. I met my husband Andy, when I was in 7th grade. We dated on and off until we were married in May, 1971. We have 3 children, Andy , Kathleen and my baby, Tina . In 2003 we were blessed with 2 grandbabies, a grandson, Ralphy and a grand-daughter, Juliana.

I drove a school bus for 20 years.
I drove special education children between the ages of 6 to 21. Also preschool handicapped children, 3 to 6 years old.

I enjoyed my job very much. The children I dealt with are very loving and caring kids. They are very hard "not"" to fall in love with. They mean the world to me. I drive for 2 different schools, and have dealt with the best teachers in the world. It's so much easier when you can communicate with the schools and teachers. It just seems to go much smoother.

In February 2004, I retired from driving the schoolbus and am now a school crossing guard. I really enjoy do it!
The best part of my life is my "SISTERS". I have 7 of the best friends in the world. We are all very close and always do for one another. In 1993, we started our own little club called the
"SECRET SOCIETY of SISTERS".

Secret Societ of Sisters

We meet once a month and just have fun. We try to do something different every month. We have had sleep overs, trips to the movies, hay rides, makeup parties, camping weekends every year, ice cream parties, luncheon cruises, dinners out,bus trips, ferry rides,a luau, pool parties, massages,BBQ'S,making crafts and ornaments,or just sit around and talk. We always look forward to our next adventure.

One of the best events of my life was when I was a finalist in the Mrs.N.J. U.S. National Pageant in April of 1995. Although I did'nt take the title, it was the best experience in the world. Without the support and encouragement of my family and friends, it would have only been a dream.

My family has been such a help to me in all phases of my life. Like when I was diagnosed with Lymes disease in 1992 and was on IV and oral medicatons for 2 1/2 years. It was a very bad experience. Then in 1993 I found out I had Fibromyalgia. The pain at times is so severe that I want to just cry. My muscles always ache. But I just keep going. And then in April 1998 I went for a mammogram, and sure enough I had breast cancer. I had 6 weeks of radiation and now take tamoxifen daily.

It really hit me like a ton of bricks. I wasn't prepared to hear I had breast cancer, only others get it. I could never have gone through this alone. My family had been my tears, my courage and my inspiration. I love them ALL !

UPDATE! I have been cancer free as of June 2004!
