National Training Workshop For Pro-Life Resource Persons

National Training Workshop Respect for Life India (RFLI) is an active Pro-life organization that reaches out to people in order to promote respect for the preciousness of their own lives and the lives of those around them, and some of the programmes and workshops conducted in 2003 was for training of Pro-Life Resource Persons, conducted from 24th  to 26th November 2003, at Ashirvad, St. Mark's Road, Bangalore, India.

Introduction to the Programme :

Every day television, advertisements, magazines and books expose young people to permissive behaviour. Premarital sex, adultery, the killing of unborn children, sexual trafficking, exploitation and pornography are projected.  RFLI stands to open their eyes to the insidiously pervasive "Culture of Death" and promote respect for and understanding of persons and wholesome family life.

In this National Workshop we hope to train Resource Persons skilled in effectively communicating the values of the "Culture of Life". We want to impart them with knowledge about the different ways in which men and women are deceived into thinking that choosing to kill their unborn children is something they have a right to do.
The Workshop will also enable the participants to teach Fertility Awareness (NFP) to married couples who want to be responsible parents.

Our Pro-life Workers at RFLI and a panel of experts, with several years of experience in the field, will share their experiences and empower the participants to deal with problem areas.
Participants likely to benefit from this Workshop are Educators, Counsellors and Formators dealing with Sex Education, Pre-marital and Marital Counselling, and handling similar situations.

Objectives :

1. To realize the beauty of Human Sexuality  beyond genitality.
2. To popularize the value-based approach to Sex Education, which affirms the selfhood of young people and builds their self esteem.
3.  To respond to the threats to human sexuality as a result of increased promiscuity and permissive behaviour being legitimized by the media.
4. To promote a deeper respect for and understanding of marriage and family life.
