SARAH HUGHES
Sarah was born on May2, 1985 in Great Nect, N.Y. Her home club is the Skating Club of New York. She trains mainly in Hackensack, N.J. and goes to Neck North High School.

Sarah won the gold medal for womens figure skating on Thursday night. She placed first with 4th more skaters to follow. These 4 skaters were supposed to be the best, but Sarah held on to her placement with scores of 5.7's and 5.8's. This was one of the best runs for her and she was almost in tears as soon as she came off the ice.
