The Truce at Bakura - Kathy Tyers
Rating: 4.5 out of 5The Story:This story takes place right after Return of the Jedi. Luke (while still recovering from the "shocking" battle with Palpatine and his father, he, Han & Leia, and the droids, pack up and go to Bakura, where an evil lizard-like species called the Ssi-ruuk are capturing humans and using their power to control "battle droids" (not the Trade Federation kind). Bakura is controlled by the Empire, so the Empire and the Rebellion must come to a truce, and together defeat the Ssi-ruuk.
Review:I really liked this one! It goes right up there as my #2 favorite (next to Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, of course). I thought Han was very well written! I found myself laughing out loud at some of his usual sarcastic comments. My only complaint is that I thought some nicknames were used a few too many times (goldenrod, laser-brain, etc.). But overall, a very good read.
