NUTRITIONAL THERAPY

It is often assumed that we get all of our nutritional requirements from our food.   Unfortunately, most food is grown on depleted soils with the aid of pesticides and artificial fertilisers so the end product is low in nutrients and high in added toxins.

Food processing depletes nutrients further and food additives give even greater toxicity.   An organic diet can help to reduce these negative factors but we are all different with individual strengths and weaknesses and even having a really great organic natural diet is not the total answer for some people.

We must be able to digest our food properly and to utilise all that is required to make hormones, enzymes, prostaglandins, blood cells, antibodies and many other substances.  In order to deal with stress and pollution we require much higher levels of nutrients than usual and we all have our own genetic weaknesses which can make our requirements for certain nutrients higher than average.

Faulty nutrition, poor digestion and absorption and toxic overload can play significant roles in many ailments.

WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL THERAPY?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of optimum health, peak performance, disease prevention and patient care.

A Nutritional Therapist is trained to use a detailed case history to identify the needs and weaknesses of an individual, including allergies and food sensitivities, and help them to achieve a better level of health.  Pamela may use Optimum Health Balance Kinesiology to detect problems and laboratory tests may be used where necessary.
