You must go the Departamento Administartivo de Seguridad, DAS, in any Colombian city before your visa expires, Doesn´t matter if it expires in a weekend or national holiday,you must go before to avoid the fine, which can not be less than 180.000 COP. (It can be more)

The local D.A.S office in Medellín is Located al Calle 19 80A-40 in Barrio Belén, office hours are 8-12 and 2-5 monday to friday. Phone:238-9252. From the hostal the only logical option is to take a taxi (about 5.000 COP), no metro and one hour away by bus.Belive us, take a taxi.

You must deposit 60.600 COP in Bancafe account 416-99023-2, código 103

4 photographs. 3x4cmts.

Original passport.

2 Copies of the page of your passport where your name,date of birth, etc, are.

2 copies of the page where your entry stamp is.

2 copies of your flight ticket. (We have heard they accept reservations prints in some cases...good luck)

2 copies, and the original of your bank deposit.

Fill out the form.

Minors older than 7 years old must go in person.

180 days per year is allowed as a tourist.

You will be fingerprinted.

Advices & Tips: You must wear respectable clothing and look presentable.Also do not plan anything else in the day. En Español: Debes renovar tu visa antes que se venza, aunque ello ocurra en fin de semana o feriado nacional, de lo contrario deberás pagar una multa, que la mínima,hoy por hoy es 180.000 COP....Debes depositar en la cuenta del Bancafé 416-99023-2, código 103 la suma de 54.800 COP, debes llevar 4 fotos de 3x4cmts.El pasaporte original, 2 fotocopias del pasaporte donde estan tus datos biográficos, 2 fotocopias del sello de entrada al país, 2 fotocopias del pasaje de salida del pais, 2 fotocopias y el original también, del depósito bancario, llenar el formulario.Los niños mayores de 7 años deben ir personalmente.Solo se permite hasta 180 días por año.(Decreto 2107 del 8 Oct. 2001).Se tomarán tus huellas digitales.Debes también dar el nombre y dirección de un Colombiano/a que te conozca.
