Tour Permits
WHAT ACTIVITIES REQUIRE A LOCAL COUNCIL TOUR PERMIT APPLICATION?
It is not necessary to obtain tour permits for all activities. Tour permits are required for all activities out of the Unit's town and whenever an aquatics or climbing activity is held.
Most short, in-town den trips of a few hours do not require a tour permit; however it is recommended that dens obtain permission slips from parents.
At minimum, even if you decide that your trip does not require a tour permit,
it is recommended that you:
1) Get a signed permission slip from each parent prior to the trip.
2) All Scouts ride in a car only with their parent as the operator of the vehicle.
