Michael,
            I've just found this reference to DTCs or Fault Codes.

            Have you noticed how logical it is....

            B = Body
            C = Chassis
            P = Powertrain       and NOT       T = Transmission
            U = Network

            They are bound to fire the guy that thought of that, he's far to straight and level to be of any use.

                            A DTC is made up of 5 digits. The figure below demonstrates the composition of a
                            DTC. With this information it is easier to trouble shoot a DTC without knowing the
                            description of the code.
