Vietnam is a long and thin country with all sorts of land. It has mountains, rivers, forests, farmland, and beaches on the coast. In this picture taken in the north west part of Vietnam, you can see how the people have taken all the land around the river and turned it into farmland. This picture is taken right after they cut the rice, so the fields are brown, but the water from the river helps the rice to grow.
