Mystique
Pines Arabians (MPA) was established in 1986 when Karen moved to
the Atanta area to join Andy who was instructed to find a boarding
stable for the two Arabian fillies which would arrive soon that
she had recently purchased. Andy located a small farm on 12 acres
in Newton County, Georgia where they could together develop their
growing interest in Arabian horses.
Both Karen and Andy have academic
and career backgrounds in the agriculture industry. Soon they were
building a barn with a foaling stall and busy selecting a stallion
to breed with their Sheik Al Badi grandaughter, Mystique Al Badi.
Their first foal, Mystique Dawn was born in 1988 and one or two
foals have been selectively bred every year since. The focus of
the breeding program over the years has emphasized the sweet, willing
disposition so important when you live with your horses and associate
with them daily. They have found this is a dominate trait inherited
from the mares.

       Also of critical importantance
to the MPA program is the blend of a beautiful and correct halter
horse supported by the athleticism to become a top quality performance
horse as it matures. This blend has come primarily from lines of
Ivanhoe Tsultan, Huckleberry Bey, Padron (through Padron Psyche,
Hal Psyche, FS Ritz, and Padron's Justice), Versace, Da Vinci FM,
Allionce and Strike. The Wilson's take great pride in showing off
their foals and usually have young horses available for sale, many
who have already been in training and shown.
