The Northern Territory Is at the top end of Australia which  includes The Red Centre, been Alice Springs and Darwin the Capital city.The weather is very tropical and sometimes quite humid.In 1974 Darwin was hit by"Cyclone Tracey" which left the town devastated but has now been beautifully rebuilt .There are plenty of attractions in Darwin some of which are the  the casino, nightclubs, shopping complexes and the multicultural markets .Alice Springs is the home to Ayers Rock, now named "Uluru" after the Aboriginal's reclaimed it as a sacred site.Uluru rises 384 metres from the desert floor , it's estimated that at least two thirds of the rock lie beneath the surface.It measures 9.4 kilometres around its girth and if you have the stamina to climb the rock , its distance is 1.6 klms , taking around two hours to complete the return trip.The awesome view at sunset allows you to see the spectacular ever changing colours of Uluru. Here to ,you can learn more about the Aboriginal Culture and Dreamtime lore also sample some true Bush Tucker or try "The Overlander Steakhouse"where you can tempt your tastebuds with kangaroo, crocodile, emu ,camel and barramundi. In the Northern Territory you can discover the wildlife at Kakadu National Park and experience the natural beauty of the waterfalls and clear swimming pools, also learn more about the Aboriginal art and see where the most of Crocodile Dundee was filmed.Taking a cruise along the Adelaide River you can experience the real life thrill of jumping crocodiles, another  cruise not to miss, is the mind blowing experience of the Katherine Gorge..a truly spectacular site.Tennant Creek is an outback town known for its mining history.This is where Australia's Gold rush happened in the 1930's
Here you can spend a night around a camp fire listening to stories about mining or for the more adventurous , take the haunted mine tour.Venturing south, you will come across the "Devils Marbles", these are huge boulders  precariously balanced, the Aboriginals believe them to be the eggs the of the "Dreamtime Rainbow Serpent"
