Hours at Work: 8:30am - 4:45pm We ran more tests today... though we know the chip is bad and aren't really going to use any of this data anymore anyway. I did some research on surface EMG, Aimi worked on fixing her amplifier set-up for the EMG project, and Maria worked on fixing a test setup for Suvarcha's current mirror chip. For lunch, they had a cookout in front of our building! :) Also, today was Kristin's (the person in charge of RISE) birthday, so we all met up at the RISE office and one of the girls made her a cake and everything. Pamela never showed up at work today, but we kept trudging on.... It was more of the same setting up tests, modifying programs, etc. After work, mom and Paula picked me up and I drove them into Old Town Alexandria (my favorite part of DC). We ate at Il Porto Ristorante... a very good Italian restaurant. After that we walked the rest of the way down into Old Town until the Potomac shorline. Here, we ended up getting on one of those Monument Tour Cruises. It was really nice... right as the sun was beginning to set. I took so many pictures (which are at the bottom of this entry). The boat took us all the way up to Georgetown and back - an hour and a half boat ride. It was a nice, pleasant evening activity. Then we walked back up through Old Town when we got back from the boat ride. We even stopped at one of those little homemade ice cream shops... mmm... good ice cream too. I drove back home, stopping at Shoppers and to get my car, on the way. Mom and Paula are going home tomorrow morning. PHOTOS FROM OLD TOWN! :)
