Due to the meeting (September 2000) of the descendants of Josef Baldus und Anna Baldus, (maiden name Graef), I started the research for my ancestors. I hope either to get some more information about my ancestors or to help somebody who is seeking his family roots. Therefore I created this simple homepage. The following files are going to be updated occationally.

The villages mentioned are located in the County of Westerwald, State of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Until World War two, the villages belonged to the Duchy of Hessen-Nassau, Germany.

If anybody has more information about the following family names, I would appreciate any hints: (Please reply by e-mail or sign my guestbook).
I would also appreciate any help about the family names included in my homepage who immigrated to the North American Continent and settled there.

Baldus (Langenhahn, Stockum, Pueschen, Himburg und Koelbingen),
    Kloft (Rothenbach),
    Graef (Stockum),
    Krieger (Stockum),
    Zimmermann (Dreisbach),
    Haas (Stockum oder Pueschen),
