This
updated DLL file will allow F-16 MRF and MiG-29
Fulcrum to use hardware acceleration on 3dfx's
Voodoo Banshee video cards. The games will be
able to run in 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768
resolutions.

The
game will now support force-feedback joysticks,
16-button joysticks, simultaneously connected
joysticks, multiple hat-switch joysticks, and
other additional joystick capabilities. The update
also modifies the flight model and air-speed
information to provide more realistic aircraft
performance -- the most noticeable differences
will be the ability to fly at higher speeds at
higher altitudes.
The update also
provides public and private NovaWorld hosting
capabilities, allowing users to join other
user-hosted games through NovaWorld. Side
passwords have been included for some multiplayer
games as well.

This
update works with US versions of F-22 Raptor only.
DO NOT download and install if you are
running a non-US version of the game as you
will corrupt your game. The update is
scheduled for global implementation very soon.
This
update allows previous F-22 Raptor owners to fly
in NovaWorld's Integrated Battle Space alongside
the F-16 and MiG-29.
Requirements:
You
will need approximately 200MB of free space to
complete the installation process.The IBS version of F-22 Raptor requires the original
F-22 Raptor CD for play.
Installation
Instructions:
Download the update file
(F22IBSDL.EXE) to you computer. Then run the file to
extract all the necessary game files. You will be
prompted to locate the directory containing your
copy of F-22 Raptor. Once the
installation has been competed, you will have a new
Start Menu shortcut to the IBS version of F-22
Raptor (Start -> Programs -> Novalogic ->
F-22 IBS -> F-22 IBS). The IBS version of F-22
Raptor requires the original F-22 Raptor CD for
play. Use the new shortcut to fly F-22 Raptor in
IBS! Use your original F-22 Raptor shortcut to fly
on the traditional F-22 Raptor servers.

UPDATE (6/30/98)
In
order to update the F-22 Raptor program ,download
the F-22 Raptor updater (WIZSETUP.EXE). We
recommend placing it on the Window's desktop so you
can easily delete it when done.
Once
you have downloaded it, run the updater. You should
quit all other applications during the update
process. (An internet connection is still required
to retrieve the new F-22 Raptor files.)
The
updater will locate your installed copy of F-22
Raptor and copy the new files to it. Once you have
successfully installed the update, you can delete
the wizsetup.exe file.
Whenever
you connect to NovaWorld,
F-22 Raptor will automatically check to see if there
are new game files.
