	Enos Brasher and Mary Fleming of Wiltshire UK, had two sons come to Victoria about 1855, James and Mary with his sons George Brasher, b c1829, Thomas Brasher, b c1834. Henry Brasher, c1839 by his first wife Ann Bacon, and George and Sarah Bradley and their family - Ann was born at sea 1855 #1219. 2 sons 1. James Brasher 1804 - 1861 aged 57, wed c1854 to Mary Elizabeth Francis 2. George Brasher 1810 - 1867 aged 57 wed Sarah Bradley in UK.
Thomas Brasher son of James, wed 1849 #5361 at St James, Church of England, Melbourne to Mary Ann Bath, 1822 - 1851 #28503 died aged 29. Thomas Brasher wed 1852 #6029 at St James, Church of England, Melbourne to Anne Savage. Their daughter Eliza Dorcas Brasher was registered 1855 #19015 and she wed 1876 #3626 to James McEwan. Thomas Brasher 1834 - 1869 #6419 aged 35, son of Ann Bacon and James Brasher Ann Brasher 1827 - 1882 #8648 aged 55, details unknown. George Brasher who died 1883 #6040 aged 53 was also a son of Ann Bacon and James Brasher From on Sun, 6 Mar 2005 I have all the papers from James Brasher's convict records, but on them is stated his wife was Ann. He was sent out to Tasmania on the Tortoise arriving V.D. Land 19th February 1842. James was baptised at Wilton by Salisbury St Mary 3.6.1805 the film was very bad but it looked like he was 2. other children were baptised that day Harriot she was 10. James married Ann Bacon who b c1803 and d 1850 Wilton Dec Q 1850 ref 8 312, on 15.10.1827 at the same church where the baptism was recorded. On Enos's birth cert there is a year for the Mary Elizabeth Francis marriage, but I am told that if it was a Methodist marriage the Minister kept the record, and he proberly took same back to England with him. Mary married George Wells on 25 Jan 1897 at 430 Bourke St Melbourne. George was listed as a batchler, Mary a widow. George born Kent, Mary Cornwall, George was a miner 66 yrs old and Mary 63. His parents listed are William Wells a Rope maker, and Susannah Snooks. hers gives Nicholas Frances and Jane Langston The IGI states Lanxon. On Mary's death cert of 29.1.1911 77 yrs cause of death are a, paralysis, b cerebral Hemorrage 6 weeks, name of father is listed only as Francis buried 30th Jan 1911 Coolgardie Cemetery her place of birth is listed as Bodmin England. How long in Australia States, is as follows South Australia 3 yrs, Victoria 45 yrs, West Australia 11 years. age at marriage listed is a, 21 yrs, b, 35 yrs. The children of the Marriages listed as follows, a, Enos 55, James 53, William Robert 50. b, Henry 40, George Edward 37, Fanny 35. It seems that the children were not aware that their parents were not married until 1897 and it seems that it was on their way out of Victoria, 3 in S.A takes it to 1900 and 11 in W.A takes it to 1911 when Mary died. 1.
