Hello!  I originally put this page up anonymously, under the pseudonym Meagan Lewis Blake.  Due to the nature of this page, I didn't want to use my real name.  But now I've "come out of the closet," and have connected this page to my regular page which uses my real name, Michele.  Anyway, I have schizoaffective disorder, and several other "minor" mental problems (OCD, ADD, depression).  This is my story, both of the illness and of recovery.  Why am I doing this?  For two reasons.  First of all, I want to educate the public and destroy myths about mental illness.  And secondly, I want to give hope to others who may be suffering from these or similar conditions.

And you're probably asking yourself, "What's up with the creepy guy?"  He is King Nebuchadnezzar, from a painting done by William Blake.  He was turned into a wild beast by God for denying God's power, and was restored when he lifted his face to heaven to acknowledge God.  I think he captures the look of insanity perfectly.  If you want to see the whole picture, click his face below.

Legal stuff: I am not a doctor or a trained professional.  I am merely a sick person passing on my experiences.  This page is not meant to replace proper medical attention.  Only a professional can diagnose and treat mental illness.  Now that that's over, here is my story!
