Maburaho

 Maburaho or magic is an anime about a boy named Kazuki who suppose happen to be the world most powerful magician. However he can only use his magic for up to 8 times. If he used up his magic, his body will turn to dust and he will disappear. As it happen 3 beautiful girls from three major magician house were sent to seduce and retrieve Kazuki superior genes. And major chaos happen. This is a nice love-comedy with a dose of magic. The animation is smooth and the music is not bad too. (especially the ending song...wooo..I just love it). Definately worth your time watching it.

Macross 7

This is another spin-off from the famous Macross series. It is about a group of rock singers from the seed ship Macross 7 who tries to bring peace to the world through their music. Too much of music, peace and love mumbo jumbo if you ask me. However they do have some memorable songs and after listening to it repeatedly every episode, it gets kindda tired. Anyway since I'm a mecha freak, so I just bear with the musics and finishes the series. I definately NOT going to rewatch this series ever again.

Macross Zero

Macross Zero is based totally on another universe than the original macross. This short 6 OVAs depicts the early days of the UN before finding the alien ship on earth. However the earthling did uncover some ancient technologies that give birth to this new Veritech fighter. Using the research, both the UN and the anti-UN tried to obtain the ancient relic buried under a pacific island. This anime tell the story of the arrival and the struggle of both parties and also the suffering of the inhabitant on the islands. It seems the islanders also had some links to the ancient relics and this has further complicated the matter.  The animation is very nice and smooth. The storyline and action is also very compelling. If you like a short mecha anime, this is my pick for you.

Naruto

 Long time ago there was a demon-fox that terrorize the Hidden Konoha Village. The 4th Hokage of the village battle the beast and defeated it before sealing its spirit into a new born baby. The name given to the baby is Naruto. The 4th Hokage died the moment after sealing the demon-fox. Because of this Naruto was despise by all the people in the village. This anime followed the journey of Naruto as he learn to be a shinobi (ninja) and gain the acknowledgement and respect from the people of his village. The animation for this anime is very good and smooth. Not to mention the story line is good too. Overall a top-notch animes.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

 This is one of the most famous mecha animes out there. Ask anyone and they will tell you they've heard of it. Need I explain more. I'm sure there are alot of fan-sites out there explaining its story. The animation is one of the smoothes I've ever seen. There story-line is also very original and out of this world, bordering in impossibilities, very Akira-like. If you ask me, I'll say you should try it. You won't regret it.

One Piece (TV Series)

 One Piece or known as "Budak Getah" in Malay comic is an anime about a group of happy go lucky pirate, trying to be the Pirate King. Their captain, Monkey D. Luffy together with his wacko crews sail the Grand-line searching for the treasure One-piece while having adventure along the way. This is definately a happy go lucky type of anime. It also pack a lot of actions and funny scenes. The animation is good and the music is also not bad. If you are looking for fun-adventure anime, well this is the best pick.

Patlabor (TV series)

Patlabor is one of my the earliest favorite anime. I remember the local TV station screened it before. Unfortunately it was dubbed in B. Malaysia and the dubbing is....how shall I say this.... "Shrill and nasally voices". The dubbing is bad but still I enjoy the anime. The anime is about a mecha loving policewoman name Noa Izumi who is station with the Mobile Police SV2 group. The group is lead by a dumb looking Lt. Goto. The series revolved around the life as a Mobile Police force as they faced criminal using labor (mecha) to commit their crime.

This anime got some really good actions scene and the character development is also good. I highly recommend this anime for all those mecha fans out there.

 Prince of Tennis

 If you like Slam Dunk, you gonna love this anime too. It is about a tennis prodigy name Ryoma Ezchine's trial and tribulation to became Japan No 1 tennis player. The story line is pretty much like Slam Dunk, where their school team, The Seigaku Tennis Club battles through the district and finally the national championship. Surprisingly I enjoy this anime despite the fact that I hate the guts out about that cocky lead star, Ryoma. I really love the part where Ryoma's father beat the hell out of his son in a game of tennis. Hah!!! In your face! ...Eer...by the way, that boy on my left is that cocky Ryoma. This boy Ryoma remind me of Slam Dunk's Rukawa Kaede.

Rave: Groove Adventure

50 years ago a great cataclysm called the Overdrive destroyed half of the world. The Overdrive is triggered the destruction of the Demonstone by the Ravemaster. Now the forces of light lead by a new Ravemaster Haru Glory, battles against the forces of the dark, the Demon Card. I know, it was a kinda lame story line with cheesy characters. But it was quite fun watching it. The animation is average and the story line, while it was cheesy but at least it got some interesting twist. Overall a rather enjoyable anime. Not great but enjoyable........

Robotech Saga (Macross, Robotech Master & Mospedea)

 Another one of my earliest favorite mecha anime, If you haven't heard of Robotech, then you must be not from Earth!!! Must I explain about this all-time favorite mecha anime? Well... if I must. Robotech Saga is consist of three part, the Macross Saga, Robotech Master and The Mospedea. The story start with the arrival of an alien ship sent to earth by Zor. The Zentradi (giant alien) was sent to earth by the Robotech master to retrieve the ship. The mission failed. Then the Robotech master themselves come to earth to retrieve the ship because the ship is the last known protoculture in the universe. The second part of the story ended when the protoculture germinate into Flower of Life. This triggered the arrival of the Invid, a long time enemy of the Robotech master. The Robotech master was destroyed and earth was conquered by the Invid. Mospedea continue the story where the Earth's fleet on mission to destroy the Robotech master home world return to Earth and tried to free Earth from the Invid.

It is a great anime, but too bad the collection that I had on this series were in RM format, which is quite low quality.
