Get Backers

  "Greatest retrieval team ever. 100% success rate" that's the motto of this ever crazy team of retrieval specialist, the Get Backers. This series followed the adventure of Mido Ban and Amano Ginji in their ever weird mission. From retrieving a missing doll to stealing back the arms of Venus de Milo, you name it they get it. Get backers was quite an entertaining anime with a lot of action plus a good dose of humor. I quite enjoy it despite my misgiving with its manga version. The animation was crisp and smooth and the opening music was not bad too. And did I told you that Ginji-kun can be sooo kawaaiiii!! (cute!!) especially when he is scared and turn doll faced?

Grappler Baki - TV series

This is perhaps one of the most senseless anime I've ever seen. It doesn't have any plot, barely any story and hell lotsa violence. The story is so crappy that it wasn't worth mentioning. The graphics and animation is also average and the music is none too catchy. However, no matter how bad this anime is, I found out that I rather enjoy it. Heck, I like it!!! You ask why? Well I think it got to do with guy liking for senseless violence. Nothing beats a day of sitting in front of the screen watching senseless people beat each other up after a tough day working. This series is definately for guys and not for any sissy out there. Grab it while you can. Caution... rated as 18SG.

Gundam : MS08th Team

Of all the early Gundam series, this is the best ever. The animes followed the story of a Federation officer Shiro Amada as the CO of a group of infantry Gundam unit. That's right, the normal ground type Gundam, none of those fancy Gundam that you saw in GWings. The series tackles the ever issues of morality of wars with the combination of romance between opposing side. sighhh....... Overall this anime is the best OVA series of all the early Gundam series. It had a strong story line with a good character developement. If you never seen any Gundam series before I suggest you get this one and Gundam : War in the pocket.

Gundam: War in the pocket

 Al Izuhara was a 6th graders in Side 6, a neutral space colony. One day his home was attack by the Zeon and a broken-down Zaku landed in a wooded area near his home. Thus begin the boy dreams of war and giant mecha. The animes had a very strong story lines and it manage to portray the war based upon the eyes of a child. It also manage to convey a message about the reality of wars, which is, there are no good guys or bad guys in a war, only soldier. Based upon the early stages of the original Gundam war, this series is quite good and a must watch by all Gundam fan. If you never seen Gundam series before, see this one, I recommend it.

Gundam SEED

The latest series after that crappy GWings is the Gundam SEED. Gundam SEED is based on a totally new alternate Gundam universe. In this universe the world is polarize into the natural human and the GMH(lol...Genetically Modified Human), or the Coordinator. The natural wanted to subjugate the coordinator because of the fear for coordinator superiority. This triggered the war between The Federation of Earth Alliance(Natural) and the ZAFT(Coordinator). Enter Kira Yamato a coordinator which due to certain circumstances fight for the Earth Alliance.

Surprisingly this anime is highly enjoyable. It draw upon the strong story line that make the original Gundam famous plus some of those fancy Gundam from Gwings to make a highly addictive Gundam series.

Gunparade March

 The year is 1945, earth is under siege by the phantom beast and most of the earth is conquered by it save for a few human stronghold. After 50 years, in the present day Japan. This anime is based on a popular PS game with the same title. It follows the story of a group of young student/soldier lives in the ever constant war with the phantom beast. In contrary to most popular believes, this anime is more of a drama/love story instead of action despite the mecha theme.

The animation is good although a bit on the "Gothic" side. But the story line is a bit plain. Overall the anime is enjoyable if you are a mecha fanatic like me.

Hikaru No Go

Have you ever heard of the game Go? Well, after watching this great anime, you'll not only know what is go, you will want to learn and play it too. The story is about a boy encountering the ghost of a great Go player from the Tokugawa era. Shindo Hikaru (the boy) started on the path to be the greatest Go player in Japan with The ghost Fujiwara Sai as his coach and mentor. The animes had a very compelling and engaging storyline. The animation is quite good too. All together it is a must watch for all anime fan out there. Even I who don't like go also like this anime!!!

Hunter X Hunter (TV, OVA1 & OVA2)

 The series is created by Togashi Yoshihiro (the same guy who do YuYu Hakusho). Gon Freaks, is looking for his father, a Hunter. Together with his trusty friends, he follow his father footstep to be a Hunter and started adventuring to discover where his father is. Pretty much a simple theme anime but story is very entertaining and full of surprise.  The TV series start Gon journey to be a hunter and it continue with the first OVA and the second OVA : Greed Island. If you like Dragon ball, you'll like this anime. The animation is ok, nothing much to shout about (Togashi is really lazy...) but it make up for it with a very good story line. Overall a very good anime.

Hanaukyo Maid tai(team)

Taro is orphaned after his parent death, so he move to stay with his grandfather who is a rich perverted bastard. However, his grandfather is not there to care for him. Instead, he left his maids together with his fortune to Taro and hope Taro will enjoy it. And the maids of the Hanaukyo family is VERY devoted and like to provide all kind of service in order to please the master. Unfortunate for Taro, he was allergic to girls and with all the maid in the mansion, there bound to be trouble. This anime pretty much like the Japanese version of Richie Rich with a twist of mature content....ehem..... There are maid for security, there are maid for cooking and the are even maid to help you take a bath. The animation is nothing great and so is the storyline. However, for 15 minutes an episode of slapstick toilet humor, it is not really that bad. But I must stress that this anime has mature content not suitable for minor.
