In the name of God Amen, I Isaac Jones Sr., of the County of Knox
and State of Kentucky, being in a low state of health and of common
sound mind, do make this my last will and testament.

First.
I give and bequeath my soul unto God, who gave it and my body
unto the earth, to be intered in a descent manner.

Second,
I give and bequeath unto my wife, Elizabeth,
one negro girl, named Lucy, and her child, named Jefferson,
during her natural life to wait on her. Also two beds and bed steads
with comfortable furniture to them, and so much of the kitchen
furniture as will make her to do her necessary cooking.

Third,
I give and bequeath all the residue of my negros unto my living sons
and daughters to be equally divided among them according to the
several valuations put on them by five disinterested men, chosen for
that purpose, also all my perishible property, with the residue of
my household and kitchen furniture and whereas, as I have one son
and daughter, that have been dead some years, and have left their
children, orphans, in the world, my will is that my nine living sons
and daughters shall out of the value of my negros and other property,
give unto their several heirs and equal portions, that they would a
have theirs if they were living in money or some other property.

I also appoint my two sons vis:
Ezekiel and Solomon my sole executors and administrators
to carry out and fully establish this my will.
Given under my hand and seal this
the ninth day of February in the year of our Lord 1854.
