I was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on the 21st of June 1978. My parents were both born in Finland. My Dad, Pekka, moved to Canada when he was a teenager. My Mom, Ritva, came here with my Dad after his visit in Finland. They got married in July 1977. I have two sisters, twins, Petrina and Evelina. They were born on the 25th of December 1979.

We moved to Finland in the spring of 1981. Soon afterwards my Dad got a calling to become a missionary in Papua New Guinea. So, in October 1984 we left for PNG. We spent 11 years there. During that time we visited Finland and Canada a couple of times for a short period of time. I did my elementary and high-school in PNG through Australian correspondence called Brisbane School of Distance Education. These times were the best of my life. I had the rare privilege of growing up in a different culture and experience stuff that no-one would ever believe. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

All good things must come to an end. After pretty much finishing high-school we felt that we had to move on to pursue post-secondary education which wasn't possible in PNG. We ended up going back to Finland in January 1996. My parents bought a holiday resort way up in northern Finland called Lapland. Yes, that's where Santa Claus and his reindeer live. I did two years of college there and got a degree in business and commerce.

After two years in Finland, I felt that I had to go somewhere else. I ended up here in Sudbury in June 1998. I got my Ontario high-school diploma from Sudbury Secondary in March 1999 after taking two credits in the Adult Education Center. I went back to college at Cambrian College to take Computer Systems Technology in the fall of 1999. That's a three year program. Anyway, it's the year 2000 now and that's pretty much the end of my Bio. Check out the pictures on the bottom.
