  Meetings

The Council meets at Holy Redeemer Church on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 in the parish center.  Dates and times will vary depending on holidays. 

History of Council

         Bishop Fulton J Sheen Council 7487 was charted on January 29, 1980 with help from Council 389 and Council 3104.  Council 7487 was formed from members of Holy Redeemer in Jenison and Saint Pious X in Grandville.  The council has grow to over 200 members living in the surrounding communities of Allendale, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Hudsonville, Jenison and Zeeland.  The council also is the sponsoring organization for Cub Scout Pack 3354 and Boy Scout Troop 354, both in Jenison.

  

Events and Functions that WE do:

  •  Distribute Thanksgiving Baskets
  • Distribute Christmas Gifts and Baskets
  • Host an Inner City Children's Christmas party
  • Clean a section of hi-way in the Adopt A Mile program
  • Collect donations during the M.R. Drive by passing out Tootsie Rolls
  • Cook for the Respect Life Breakfast
  • Host a Basketball free throw contest for kids
  • Sponsor local Boy Scout Troop
  • Sponsor local Cub Scout Pack
  • Help with the Age of Discover play ground at Hagar Park
  • Sponsor Veterans to go to K of C day at Whitecaps baseball game
  • Participate in the Memorial Day Parade
  • Couples golf Outings
  • State Bowling Tournaments
  • State Golf Tournaments
  • Fall garage sale
  • Various Family cookouts
  • After Mass Coffees
  • Purchased Stained Glass Window for Activity center
  • Friday Fish Fry’s during Lent
  • Cook breakfast at the Haven for Boys
