Susumu Otsu, the renowned chef of Kimonos, is an unassuming man.......and a favorite among celebrities from Hollywood to Japan. As famous for his unfailing willingness to greet his guests warmly as for his gyoza, yakitori, octopus, red snapper and other delicacies, he has received two Critics Choice Awards for the best sushi.

Before coming to Kimonos, Otsu owned Moria, a restaurant in Tampa, for 13 years. Since his arrival, he has attracted happy customers not only from across Florida but around the world as well. With pride, he counts among his friends, the Japanese movie stars Takashima Tado and Keiko Matsuzala, as well as some of Hollywood's best known actors and actresses, supermodels and professional athletes.

For over 25 years, he has dedicated himself to the study of sushi preparation and has mastered every technique to perfect his art. His skill and mastery result in the finest sushi in Central Florida. Otsu, who speaks Japanese and English, has only one hobby that will pull him away from his kitchen - golf.
