Eltham's secret weapon

The Diamond Valley Devils aka Eltham in training for the event 'Creepy Crawly', on the streets of Eltham. This effort paid off, allowing Eltham to win the event in Heat 2 of Round 3, 1986. A solid out-of-competition training regimen ensured results for these seasoned campaigners, who experienced success in three series, and won the first series Grand Final.

Curt and Kerrie Draheim have a go. The 'Creepy Crawly' was home-made -- a sign of the dedication of this team. Husband-and-wife teams were common in IAK (they appeared also in Frankston, Portland, Temora, Peterborough, Padthaway, Stirling, Childers, Springwood, plus many others. Newcastle had identical twins). This provided obvious advantages where high levels of communication (including unspoken) were required.
Eltham are sporting official IAK garb, coloured blue, of course. Cool as ____, and you know it. Donations of IAK apparel can be made care of andrew.gray@mailcity.com.
