Sack Race. In this event, teams competed against each other in a... sack race.
At the completion of the Sack Race, the competitors fell over and died. As indicated by the vertical line projected on the astro-turf, Queensland and Victoria finished ahead of World Record time. Note the preponderance of witches hats on the course; one Knocked-out Knockout competitor mumbled at the time: "oh, man... too many cones...".
The Grand Final finishes with stunning action...
In the end, it was Daisy Hill, of Queensland who brought it home in the Grand Final. How they did it is an absolute mystery.

In what has become the benchmark for Sydney and Australia, the IAK celebratory fireworks display is yet to be equalled in quality and technical brilliance.
The people who don't own the rights to IAK.
A daytime version for our European fans. Note the typo -- there should be an 'e' before the final 's' (not to mention the missing grave accent on the first 'e', but we'll let it slide since they are capitals).

1987 Series shows were all done in daylight and used the whistle, since the stadium's neighbours complained about the light pollution from the night productions and the sound of the hooter.

Unfortunately IAK has been so closely based on JSF that it continues in its status as axed.
Jason Donovan and Combat. That's Jason on the left.

Both cast members are now proud graduates of the Greg Evans School of Washed-Up Has-Beens, Obscurity and the Theatre-Restaurant Circuit.
