Roy bought me American History X on DVD to watch and let
me tell you--that is an amazing movie. Later on I watched
Predator with Dave, and then it was time for my birthday
party. Happy Birthday to me!!! After some pre-drinking we
all went to some party that Roy knew about, but sucked.
So instead, we went to Stanleys. People were buying me shot
after shot and I was super duper drunk. The highlight of
the evening was when I randomly called some girl in a car
a bitch. (I don't know why I said that, honest!) She chased
me in her car and I slipped into an alley. Unfortunately,
as we were sneaking into Phil's car, the girl found me again
and cornered us, so I had to give her an apology. Crazy
stuff I tell ya!

A bunch of "key" people that were supposed to
come to my birthday couldn't make it out anymore. I was
disappointed but it's okay, I think it will still be a fun
time on Saturday.

Matrix Revolutions came out
today so me, Rich, and Roy saw the 8am show. What a GREAT
movie. I totally don't understand the bad reviews. Agent
Smith (Hugo Weaving) was the true star of the movies--he
was so entertaining to watch. During the afternoon Roy treated
me to dinner at his dorm because they had steak night. Then
when I got back home to my apartment, my sister met up with
me to watch the 7:30pm show with Larry. My second viewing
of the movie was even better because this time I was wide
awake. I was really pleased that my sis enjoyed the movie,
and it made for a great night.

My second consecutive all-nighter! I hallucinated in the
morning too! Very weird stuff, to the fullest. Then later
at night Roy made me play basketball with him regardless
of the fact that I was physically fatigued. Grrr

I pulled an all-nighter last night studyin for exams, and
it WAS NOT FUN. But I did good on my math test so it's all
good in the hood.
Sunday, October 26 , 2003
I'm kickin Roy's ass in basketball at this moment and it
feels GOOD. hehe... Tonight I went to Statesville Haunted
Prison, the #1 rated Haunted House in Chicagoland. It was
well worth my money I thought. I went with Phil, Justin,
Maria and Pat...I thought it was cool how the actor-monster
dudes were pickin on Pat. The haunted house itself was a
lot of fun, not neccessarily scary but a good time.

NIU lost 34-18 to Bolwing Green today. So yeah, that's enough
of that. I did have fun coming over to Kevin and Larry's
place to watch the game though. After the game we all met
up at Steak and Shake to eat, and then me and Roy went to
go watch Scary Movie 3 with Frank, who came up to visit.
Not the best movie in the world, but it did have its moments.
Later on we all drank at my place because Kevin went to
bed early and Larry was AWOL. Then, at the end of the day,
me, Becky, and Dave talked about life for like 2 or 3 hours.
Friday, October 24 , 2003
I spent most of the day contemplating whether or not to
pay $15 to see Michelle Branch in concert but ultimately
decided it was best not to go. Larry came over to watch
Friday the 13th Part 2 with me and it was kinda cool to
see how corny the movie was, but I liked it. Later on I
went to a house party, got really drunk and acted a fool.
The house party was for Rich's 24th bday and I think he
seemed pretty happy. I thought about May during the day
and felt bad that I couldn't make it out to come see her,
but I ended up having a great night anyway so it wasn't
that bad.
Friday, October 10, 2003
Roy beat me two times today in basketball and that really
ticked me off. Vengeance shall be mine, that's all I gotta
say. During the afternoon, Roy, Larry, and I went to go
watch KILL BILL, the new Tarantino movie, and I must say
that this movie is a work of art. Greatest B-movie of all
time. It's like having a master chef take over a fast food
burger joint. Tarantino's artistic ability as a screenwriter/director
is amazing. Later on I drank and watched the Cubs game.
The best part: we fed Miller some beer and it was acting
tipsy for most of the night. It was so funny. Then Becky,
in her drunken stupor, blasted an air horn right into my
ear and my goodness I was in a lot of pain. But I guess
there's no permanent damage to my eardrum or whatever so
it's all good.

Cubs won the series against the Braves last night so it
was GREAT to see all these Cubs fans walking around campus
with their Cubs gear on. Today my sister came up to bring
me stuff like a stand for our hamster cage. Then we went
out to eat at the Junction with Roy. Afterwards I tutored
my sister so she would understand her shit for her calculus
quiz, and then ended the day working out with Roy.
Friday, October 3, 2003
Becky and I (mostly Becky) made my favorite--chocolate chip
cookies with pecans. Delicious like whoa I tell ya. Then
later on I watched the Cubs game with Tom. Mark Prior is
the shit...he totally shut down those Braves.
Monday, September 30, 2003
Larry, Julie, Roy came over to watch the Bears/packers game
with me and Dave tonight and boy do the Bears suck. So that's
it. I'm a fair-weather Bears fan and have decided not to
waste my time watching them anymore this season.
Saturday, September 20, 2003
My homey Frank paid a visit today at NIU and we drank it
up. We pre-drank here at my place and when I got tipsy,
Dave tackled me for no apparent reason but it was pretty
funny, although the bruises on my hip weren't. Roy seemed
to be real angry by it though. Frank, Roy, and I were supposed
to meet up with Kevin and etc. at Starbusters but they didn't
show up there so Frank and I just bought ourselves Long
Islands and then left. Roy by the way couldn't join us because
he's driving under a ticket and they wouldn't let us in.
Frank and I decided to make the trek down to Molly's and
saw Kevin, Larry, Tina, and Becca there. I asked Tina to
talk/flirt with Frank a little to make him feel comfortable
and Kev was all like "grrr" but I bet it was just
drunk jealousy. Becca apparently is single now so all the
guys were checkin her out and wantin' a piece of that it
seemed. We ate at Lukulos, then Frank and I went home and
the cold walk back sobered us up. I came back home to see
that Dave and Becky had decorated my window with obscene
messages written in highlighter that glowed in the dark.
It looked sweet.
Sunday, September 14, 2003
The day started off bad cuz Becky got the back window of
her car smashed by someone last night. Here is a pic of
the damage to Becky's Car.
Erin came over today with Julie and brought over her house
pet, Phoenix. It was a really cute puppy and makes me kind
of want my own puppy. I fed Phoenix some Wheaties, which
was cool like Fonzi. In the evening, Dave, Julie, and I
watched the Bears lose to the Vikings. It was actually a
great game until the last 2 minutes came.
Saturday, September 13, 2003
I played basketball with Roy in the morning and boy is he
out of shape. I was toying with him the whole time and he
never stood a chance against me. Later on we watched Once
Upon A Time In Mexico and I wasn't too impressed. My parents
decided to come up to take me out to dinner so I did that...we
went to Pizza Villa, which is always good eatin'.

Happy Birthday to Erin, and Happy Anniversary to Dave n
Becky!! Dave got Becky a cool-looking teddy bear for their
5 month anniversary present :) On the other side of things,
Phil and Kristen broke up last night. To keep Phil from
thinking about Kristen all day, I have been trying to keep
Phil occupied. Today I put up the blacklights in my room,
and put up the Paw Paw 6 sign. My room looks amazing. Afterwards
Phil and I went to go play basketball at the rec, and my
team kicked ass (of course).
Thursday, August 28, 2003
NIU played against 15th-ranked Maryland today in football
and BOY was it a great game. We won 20-13 in OT. It was
the first football game I've been to here at school, and
will definitely be the most memorable football game I've
ever been a part of. Afterwards I got real drunk at Kevin
and Larry's place and at Fatty's, but sobered up a little
when we all ate at Arond The Clock.
Monday, August 25, 2003
A nice first day of school I guess. I have a feeling that
I'll have a pretty tough first semester, but we'll just
have to wait and see. This afternoon I worked out at the
rec with Roy and boy was I out of shape. I had no energy
whatsoever. And since today is Larry's birthrday, Dave,
Phil, and I went to Fatty's to meet up with Roy, Julie,
and Kevin.
Saturday, August 16, 2003
I spent the whole afternoon moving furniture to our new
apartment with Dave and Becky, and boy was it tiring. I
don't want to have to go through all of that again for a
long time. Our place looks pretty nice so far though. It
seems kinda small and cramped, but I actually think it feels
more homey that way.
Thursday, August 14, 2003
I went to the Cubs game today with my cousin Vu and my sister.
It was a great game; Matt Clement pitched very well and
best of all, we won :) This was my sister's very first Cubs
game and I think she's now a fan. It seemed like she had
a lot of fun.

I finally went to the eye doctor today and NOW I CAN SEE!!!!!
Very exciting stuff. Equally exciting (scary) is that my
eye doctor told me that my right eye protrudes slightly,
and this could be attributed to possibly thyroid cancer.
But I've researched about it more and it seems that I must
just have an overactive thyroid and I'm sure this can be
cured easily.
Saturday, August 10, 2003
Ty came back to town today after graduating finally from
Iowa State. We made plans to meet up with Dave in Addison
to play pool at Oscar's. Oscar's is alright but the construction
around that place pissed us off, and the cigarette smoke
was really gettin' to Ty. Frank also came along, and boy
does he suck at pool. In fact, all of us suck, except for
maybe Ty. Afterwards we made our way to Hooters and I got
shall we say "very tipsy" off of three Rolling
Rocks, lol.
Friday, August 9, 2003
I played one on one basketball tonight with a guy who plays
for Indiana University's basketball team. Final score was,
he beat me 21-7. I was pretty pleased with the way I played
but later realized that he must have just been fucking around
out there with me because I shouldn't have been able to
score that easily (even though it was just 7 pts).
Thursday, August 8, 2003
Well summer school is finally over with, and I once again
have nothing to do. Except for shop for apartment stuff...but
I just feel so lazy and unenthusiastic about it for some
reason. Anyway, my test today was a breeze and it felt good
to know that I'll have these next two weeks to bum around
all day. (Not that I don't already do that.)
Thursday, July 17, 2003
What a day. What a day. Alright, so this morning I was cleaning
out the bathroom so I decided to collect all the cleaning
supplies and put it in a grocery bag in the living room.
Couple hours later I get back from class, and notice that
there's a big blue stain on the living room floor on the
carpet. I said OH SHIT! and tried to wipe it off with a
paper towel. So here I am, worrying about dabbing it softly
so it wouldn't stain to bad, and when I finally wiped it,
the whole carpet came off!!! The Sno Blo toilet cleaner
and other chemicals combined and ate through the carpet,
leaving a hole 8 inches in diameter! OH NOOO!!! One of the
most horrifying things I've ever seen...say goodbye to our
$800 security deposit. Anyway, Dave and I cleaned and packed
our furniture all night before finally going to bed at 5
am, only to wake up again at 9:30.
Wednesday, July 2, 2003
Arnold is back. Terminator 3 rocked; it was the funnest
movie I've been to this summer, and Dave, Larry, and I were
sitting in our seats giggling half the time cuz it was so
cool. My sister and my cousin Megan came up to visit me
at the apartment and watch the movie with us. I think they
thought the movie was cool too, but they didn't enjoy it
as much as use guys.
Thursday, June 26, 2003
Frailty is a really messed up movie, and I DEFINITELY guarantee
it to anybody that wants to watch a thriller that will just
blow your mind away. Well, nothing exciting for today but...I
got a new high for New Tetris (sprint mode): 670!!! I'm
very excited that I soon will reach the god-like 700-club.
Monday, June 23, 2003
I was bored tonight so I went over to Rich's place to hang
out. His sister has his XBOX so we decided to just drink
beer and watch a movie. We saw Army of Darkness, supposedly
a cult classic, and it was hilarious!
Friday, June 20, 2003
Dave and I have become obsessed with chess for some reason
lately, so we spent most of the day playing chess online.
I then downloaded Chessmaster 8000. Wow, what nerds we are.
Later in the afternoon, we met up with Larry to watch The
Hulk. Let me just say: HULK WILL SMASH!
(at the box office). Well, it wasn't
that great--Eric Bana's dialogue sucked, the scenes
seemed too short and choppy, Ang Lee's split-screen shots
were distracting, and the ending wasn't satisfying--but
damn it was great to see The Hulk kick the military's ass
in the desert.
Wednesday,
June 18, 2003
Today Alli decided to come up to visit, which
was cool because I haven't seen her in a while. Alli, Dave,
Phil, and I went to the Barn and drank for a while, then
played fooseball. Then we got back to the apartment and
played Boggle, and then chess. Dave went to bed, so Alli
and I played card games and talked till about 5:30am, around
the same time Phil gets up for work.

Summer school seems easy so far to me. But it's all good,
I'm not having trouble finding things to do. Today I bumped
into my buddy Jay, from elementary school. Pretty crazy
how I've known him after all these years. He invited me
to go out to Starbusters with him, so I meet up with him
and his crew, and it was a lot of fun. We played darts,
and I was teamed up with Heather. We should've won the game,
but lost because of some dumb technicality. I ended up having
11 9 oz. cups, which translates to about 8 beers. Drunk,
like whoa.
Saturday,
June 14, 2003
It's good to be back. I'm
at my apartment now for summer school, and I feel totally
refreshed here. Anyway, I spent the whole day hanging out
with Becky and Dave. We went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner.
Dave and I had the Buffalo Chicken Tenders, and DAMN was
it hot. We were sweating like whoa and drank lots of iced
tea. Our next stop was Blockbuster, then Borders. After
that we went and saw Finding Nemo. Cute movie. Then we got
back here and played Monopoly all night. Becky won, grrrr.....
Saturday, May 10, 2003
Well, what can I say, it's been an interesting school year.
By far my toughest year yet. In the past, my goals for the
school year would be to have maximum fun and meet as many
new and interesting people as possible. However, this year
was just kinda weird. But I did have my fun...and made some
sweet memories while living here at the apartment with Phil,
Dave, and Tim. Well I'm packing for home, cleaning the apartment,
and getting ready for the summer. Peace...
Friday, May 9, 2003
It was pretty sucky this morning because I had to get up
early to take my last final. After I got back, I put together
the new hamster cage that Deeps gave to us. It's a lot bigger
than the one we bought at Walmart. I then went to Lincoln
with Dave to help Becky pack her things into her car. I
met her mom and her sis, and thought her mom was super nice.
We all had lunch at Shelley's, too. Dave and I went to the
rec where I played basketball for a while. Later on at night,
Dave, Phil, Kristen, and I went to the Barn and got wasted.
There was a pretty attractive girl there so I asked for
her number, so that was kinda cool. I'm not gonna call her
or anything though; I just wanted to do it for the fun of
it.
Sunday, May 4, 2003
It has been a pretty tiring day. I woke up at 12:30 today
and eventually got my ass to the library around 3pm. After
I got back to the apartment, Dave and I played with Miller
for a while. Then we went to Taco Bell for dinner, and picked
Julie up from Stevenson, because she wanted to come hang
out with us. Best part of today: I ate a Choco Taco...mmmm
those things are good. Well, Julie told us that Miller is
indeed a hamster and NOT a guinea pig. We all watched TV
for a while and then I took Julie home. Anyway, it's been
a long night of studying and I'm real tired so I'm off to
bed...
Saturday, May 3, 2003
Woke up at 8:30am this morning after going to bed at 3am
last night to study some more for my stats final. Met up
with Julie around 12:30 for lunch at Subway, and we also
went to the comic book store together because they were
giving out free comics. I did pretty well on the final;
I probably got either an A or B on it. Later on, Roy and
I went and watched X-Men 2, and then had dinner together.
X-Men 2 was the BOMB!! Nightcrawler was so lovable and sympathetic,
and Magneto's escape from the plastic prison was breathtaking.
And damn, Hugh Jackman is Wolverine incarnate. Rogue is
pretty hot too...I was like damn she is the ultimate tease,
cuz y'know, you can't touch her without getting hurt. After
I got back from the movie, Dave and I went to go pick up
Becky at a party. When we were walking back to our apartment,
I spotted a guinea pig in the parking lot by a bush. Dave
and I chased it for a good 20 minutes before finally catching
it. We made it our pet, and we named it Miller :) We even
went out to Walmart to get it food and a new cage. Miller's
a fiesty li'l fucker...I love the little guy!
