The Forest of Shadows is an online community and the home of a play-by-post roleplaying game. The dolls on this page are all NPCs, or Non-Player Characters, and my creations.

General

Vinché is a wind elemental, so she is allowed to defy gravity. Arvana is a Forest Guardian, but she'd also technically be Lizeyl's High Priestess. I couldn't stand looking at the original, so I re-shaded it. It's okay, I guess. I'm not sure I like the handless cloak design, but Layna looks much better now that I've reshaded. Redone version of Lin, my first doll. Her hair is supposed to look odd, because it's recently been dyed and cut. Actually it doesn't look that odd anymore. Redone version of an early attempt to do a better job of Lin. The old version was painfully inadequate. Valadine looks much better!

The first version of Aly was my third doll, in much need of repair. I think I'd have to start over to be entirely happy with it. Princess Alethea looks particularly stunning under my pathetic early efforts. Princess Selina, on casual day. (It's princess casual, okay?) She's supposed to be Teyni, but maybe she's just a random Wood Elf. Will have to do something about that hair one of these days. Hey, look, it's Layna again.

Ilana happens to be a shapeshifter. (Redone version.) Princess Alania of Rhydia. She's going to be trouble in a few years. A request for Jacqueline. I think she's a healer. A traditional Rhydian dancing/festival outfit. I think she's mad at her boyfriend Bess Kemenar-Alagoss, the Briarsville Earth Master. Her husband is a wind mage, so there's no telling what affinity their child will have. Aww...

Layna long before she came to the Mountain Kingdoms. She looked all young and innocent—so I added makeup. The Great Blue Dragon is so cute that he never has to walk anywhere. Arvana, as you might run into her if you got into trouble in the Forest. (Magical creatures tend to approach when Arvana is around.) If you had that much hair to brush, you'd be irritable, too! (Actually, I bet Princess Valadine's hair is perfect under all circumstances.) This portrait of Elarra was a hair experiment.
