Otherwise I have been trying to catch up on the Walker end. Lucinda-Jack Walker,
and Caro-Don Walker.
Also John Robert Hubbard married two of the Walker girls.
I have been doing this because a Walker reunion is coming up.

My information sources are my grandmother, her documents, Gadsden Public Library, fellow genealogy cousins, ancestry.com, local records, specifically Judy Conner has a wealth of information, census records and one book I have used extensively is Trees and Branches by Pauline Garmany Vaughn. This book has some good information to get me started. Anyhow. I have scanned portions of the pages I have from the book and added them here.
Lenard Franklin Hubbard was born in April 7 1842 in Georgia

They settled in Shady Grove Community, Etowah County, Alabama. They had eleven children, and many of the decendents still live there today. I am one of them! Their first child was born in GA, the others in Alabama.

she was born in 1820 in Tennessee according to the census.
Lenard's father Robert A Hubbard...remember..came with him to Alabama.
Robert was born about 1820 in South Carolina according to the census.

Please remember
Dana Pauline Garmany Vaughn and her contribution to our genealogy.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for Mrs. Dana Pauline Vaughn, 81, Boaz, who died Monday, July 16, 2001.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Vaughn.
She is survived by her daughters, Eugenia (James) Hammett, Boaz, Betty Rae Garrard, Boaz, Barbara (C.L.) Entrekin, Gadsden, and Glenda (Robert) Moxley, Altoona; sisters, Helen Holman and Wiladean Parks, Altoona; brother, Paul Nix, Attalla; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
