Sting The RockStar

The Punk Sting was invited by Stewart Copeland to join him and formed The Police in January 1977 with Henri Padovani joining them later. The Police recorded their first single Fall Out, which sounded like a demo but sounded like punk.

Andy Summers join the group in May and brought more discipline to the band and they abandoned punk. Henri left in August after their last summer gig in France. Miles, Stewart's elder brother, became their band manager -- he promoted and advised the group, organized deals and arranged tours.

The Police The final Police line-up [no pun intended] was composed of Stewart Copeland, who had the enthusiasm and started up the band; Andy Summers, who had the experience; and Sting, who had the face and voice to catapult them to superstardom.

Thus start the saga called: The Police!
