Living History Guild’s guiding impression for the 18th
century differs little from that of the 19th century. We
portray the rural or working class family rather than the wealthy
elite. Our clothing reflects our station in life, as does our camp
equipage. The information given here is meant as a basic guide for
members interested in the 18th century, it is brief, and
will be expanded on as time goes by. For now it is limited to women’s
clothing, but as interests develop we will add information on men’s
clothing and children’s clothing.
