Harry's Family

Harry Potter lives with his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon at 4 Pivet Drive. They are mean to him and treat his cousin, Dudley, like an angel. Dudley is very obese and gets whatever he wants. Until Harry was eleven, he had to sleep in the closet under the stairs. The Dursleys are scared of Harry's power and keep him locked in his room most of the time. When he gets home from school each summer, all his spellbooks and magical stuff gets locked in the cupboard downstairs.

Harry's School

Harry goes to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was founded over 1,000 years ago by Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, and Rowena Ravenclaw. Each of the four houses is named after them. The teachers instruct the students in Potion making, Transfiguration, Herbology, The History of Magic, and many more classes. Meals are eaten in the Great Hall, which has a magical ceiling which changes every day.

Harry's Friends

Harry has two main friends at Hogwarts, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Hermione is the studius one; she gets good grades and does her homework and extra credit throughly. She is muggle-born and both her parents are dentists. Ron Weasley is one of seven children from a pure-blooded wizarding family. He doesn't have much money, but his mother is the kindest person Harry knows. After Harry's first year at Hogwarts, Ron and two of his brothers rescued Harry from the Dursleys. All three students are in the Gryffindor house and Ron and Harry sleep in the same dormitory. The Weasleys are very nice to Harry, and he stays with them a lot. After his first year and third year, he spends a remainder of the summer with them. They even take him to the Quidditch World Cup, Ireland vs. Bulguria.

Harry's Teachers

The Transfiguration professor is Minevera McGonagall. She is also the head of the Gryffindor house. She is stern, but she gets work done. Transfiguration is the art of changing one object into another. Professor McGonagall is an animagus, which means she can change into an animal and back again. Her animal is an orange tabby cat with circles around her eyes.

The Potions Professor is Severus Snape. He is the head of the Slytherin house. He is Harry's least favorite teacher. He favors students of his own house and is mean to the rest. Potions is a particularly complicated subject, and when a student does not follow directions and makes a mistake, they pay for it.

The Professor of Herbology is Professor Sprout. She heads the Hufflepuff house and is a short, stout woman. We don't know much about her, except that she almost always has dirt under her nails and work gloves on.

The Professor of the History of Magic is Professor Binns. He is the only teacher who is a ghost. One day he sat down in his office and died, and the next day got up and went onto his busniess as normal. He enters through the blackboard and reads from boring books all day. His class is the most boring, all you hear about is The Goblin Rebellion of this year, and the Invention of some self stirring cauldron by some old witch in this year. Needless to say, it is also one of Harry's least favorite classes.

The Charms Professor is Professor Flitwick. He is a tiny man who stands on books to see over his desk. This is another teacher whom we don't know much about, so......that's pretty much it.

Harry's World

There are many places in Harry's world. He lives in England, but most of the places he goes are fictional. Diagon Alley is where witches and wizards shop. There are many stores, including: Elypos Owl Emporium, Madam Malikin's Robes for all Occasions and many more. Hogsmeade is the last fully wizard village in England. Hogwarts students take trips there occasionally. Its stores include: Zonko's Joke Shop, The Three Broomsticks pub, and other fun places. To go to school each September, he goes to King's Cross Station and boards the Hogwarts Express at platform 9³/₄.
