Official Heraldry

"Official heraldry" is a general term for the arms of governments and governmental bodies. In South Africa, it covers the arms, flags, and seals of the 19th-century republics and colonies, the Union and later Republic of South Africa, the former "homelands", the provinces, and government departments and agencies.
