As you walk down avenues of Tikal you suddenly feel eyes upon you. Don't be alarmed if you are up to no ill will. For it is just the Balam, watching what is theirs. Remember this is their turf, their land by birthright. And they do not take kindly to strangers stepping into their territory and causing trouble. They protect those within the neighbourhoods they claim as their own with a ferocity that can only be matched by the way with which they dispatch interlopers. Led by the Bon Bhat Noahtl ehi Coani, they rule the ruins of the City. Claiming their sacred sites they watch, and listen for any signs of the Rotted Hearts. All other Bastet and humans are welcome within their lands, although the latter will not be treated like Hamaal, except a few. But the Naa, the Outsiders, they will be punished for any indiscretions they perpetuate within their boundries.

Other Tribes

Within the bounds of the Balam turf you will find the Temples of their ancestors, ancient wonders, and of course at the heart of the territory, the Den, from which all the Den Realm spreads out. If you are careful, and quiet, you can watch as the Elders train the cubs in the ancient ways of Balam combat and magick. And if you are even more careful, you might see them performing their rites to bring chaos to their enemies.

This is Balam territory, step carefully, for each step you take may just be your last.
