Harmony Heights came into being in February of 2002 but the dream
of it started years before that. My parents have owned a kennel for many
years and we were always "relief" help. To say that we are animal lovers
would be a grave understatement. Even before we became involved in the
"Best Friend" industry, we always seemed to have a multitude of animals.
Any one that needed a place to go with an animal that was "misunderstood"
seemed to end up at our door. In 1999, due to a love affair with dogs and a
need to own a Cavalier King Charles, we went into business with some close
friends. During our time at University Kennels, we learned alot, worked ALOT,
cried alot and laughed constantly! We decided in February of 2002 that it would
be best for everyone, due to time and distance problems, if we split the kennel.
That is when we took the plunge and started Harmony Heights. The first dog
that Harmony Heights purchased was a chichiauwa named Mudge. She is a
wonderful girl and is now spending her golden years holding down the couch.
We have grown from one loved chi chi to six different breeds. We felt that we
would enjoy this the most if we raised the best in several breeds that we loved.
We no longer raise Cavaliers but the love affair with the dogs lives on stronger
than ever. There is no real separation of kennel and house at Harmony Heights.
There seems to be a trail of babies back and forth. We are doing our best to
breed top quality babies that are not only a delight to look at but also a thrill to
own. Each litter is carefully planned and cared for before they are ever born. Our
babies are very social; we have three children that play a huge part in our kennel.
There could be no better social committee. We hope that you enjoy your new
