Solve the following problems on paper and check your answers using the above applet:

A bag contains 2 red and 3 white balls. From the bag, 2 balls are drawn at random, one after another, with replacement.
Find the probability that they are both of the same colour.
Repeat the experiment but without replacement.
Repeat the experiment using 2 red and 4 green balls.
Repeat the experiment but now drawing 3 balls, with & without replacement.


A bag contains 4 red & 5 white balls. 2 balls are drawn from the bag at random and without replacement.
Find the probability that they are both of the same colour.


A bag contains 3 red balls & 3 white balls. 3 balls are drawn from the bag at random & without replacement.
(a) Find the probability that the balls drawn are all red.
(b) Find that the probability of drawing 2 red balls & 1 white ball.
