The best thing about the net is the community networking capabilities. If a  site is good or interesting the number of visitors it can receive by word of  mouth alone is astounding. Bearing that in mind, I always find it important to  share links with others.

Here are some of our favorites or ones we found somehow interesting, funny or  unusual. You can also visit the web site we built about our Iceland Hiking excursion and Gundula’s CV  page..

Bushisms Look, I want to be clear that I like George W Bush. But I also have a sense of humor and this site has a collection of “Bushisms” that made me laugh. Perhaps you’ll like them as well. The site also looks suspiciously like ours somehow but only a little.

Darwin Award Candidates
The Darwin Award refers to people who do stupid things  that lead to the absence of their DNA in the gene pool. In other words: people  who get killed doing dumb shit. To win the award you have to -uh- expire. To be  a candidate your behaviour must be likely to cause your expiration. I almost put  these under ‘humor’ but this is all too real. Here are three sites that just  make you shake your head.

cutmyfeetoff.com This guy is planning on cutting his feet off online. You can watch the amputation for a small fee. This is serious folks.

www.trepan.com The english  saying goes: “I need that like I need another hole in the head.” Well these  guys take that saying to heart. They voluntarily drill holes in their own skulls  to “release their creative potential”

www.trepanation.com  Another hole in the head site. Makes you wonder.

www.vhemt.org Stands for:  Voluntary Human Extinction Movement. The title pretty much sums up this site’s  attitude toward all of us.

Willingen:
Willingen is Gundula’s  hometown and she always thought about it as quaint and cozy, kind of slow,  though.
It turns out that, actually, Willingen probably has more websites  per capita than any other town its size (5,000) in Germany. It’s definitely got  the most pubs per capita at 1 for every 50 people. Here’s a few links with  information over this ‘holiday paradise’.
Upland Schule This is where Gundula went  to secondary school. It had about 250 pupils in 8 grades back then.

Mittelpunkt Schule  Gundula’s primary school.

Willingen-Live Shows  all the happenings in Willingen. An amazing amount of things going on there.

Upland-Online Gives a  good overview over the region.

Willingen.com Similar to  Willingen.de and Willingen live, different content and different pictuers,  though.

Willingen.de

Weltcup Skispringen  Willingen The latest on everything concerning the worldcup skijumping  competition Willingen hosted and will continue to host so successfully.

Meine Stadt  Willingen Information about and around Willingen.

Sauerland  Information With photos of Sauerland, the greater region in which Willingen  is located
