. GESTALT THERAPY INSTITUTE OF LOS ANGELES
Established 1969

The Gestalt Therapy Institute of Los Angeles (GTILA) is a community of Gestalt therapists who offer psychotherapy, supervision, training, and consultation. GTILA functions as a membership organization for all those interested in Gestalt therapy. Students and qualified professionals are welcome without regard to race, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

This web site provides a Directory listing of current GTILA members and trainees. The members of the Institute have been practicing therapists for many years and pride themselves in keeping abreast of clinical and theoretical developments, both in the field of psychology, generally, and in the field of Gestalt therapy in particular.

GTILA is a non-profit educational membership institute. Any contributions to GTILA will be used for current community projects and professional development. To make a tax-deductible donation, please contact Friedemann Schulz, GTILA Treasurer, at (310) 285-5510. We appreciate your interest in our organization and hope you will find the directory useful.

GTILA was established as a training institute in 1969 by Frederick S. Perls, M.D., James S. Simkin, Ph.D. and others for the purpose of promoting the development, application and competent practice of Gestalt Therapy. For 30 years, GTILA provided an ongoing "hands on" training program for Gestalt therapy in Los Angeles for mental health professionals.
