We were offically engaged on May 13, 2001. The next day I started all the preparing & it turned out to be a beautiful day. My oldest son Michael walked me down the isle & gave us his blessing. The ceremony took place. The minister was Rev. Debra Wierus-O'Neill. Steve is Catholic & I am Wiccan (Pagan), so we didn't have a tradional Handfasting. Rev. Debra was great. We had our catering from Mario's located at 113th Harlem. Everybody was telling how great it was. Too bad I didn't have a chance to eat anything, too busy doing other things like taking pictures & making sure everybody was ok . We wanted everybody to dress for the weather and not for the occasion. It was very hot!! There was plenty of food and drinks for every one. We also provided fans to cool everybody off. It was
a great celebration and alot of fun. When it started to rain, we thought it was over. SURPRISE! SURPRISE!!! Everybody went and started to dance out in the rain and had a ball including my husband. I stayed under the tent where it was dry. |
