I had a personal ad on excite.com close to three years ago for about six months. I met some nice guys from there, but none of them were Mr.Right. Normally I would meet the guy at a public place & see how things went. There were some second dates but I knew none of them were right for me. On July 6, 1999 I received an email from Steve. Something was different with this one. I emailed him back right away and that was the beginning of our relationship. We emailed back & forth, exchanged photos, then we finally talked on the phone & we set up our 1st date. I was amazed I set up a date with a man I never met before, but I felt different with him for some reason. Our 1st date was July 17, 1999, day before Steve's birthday. Steve came over at 7 o'clock and & he had a dozen of long stem red roses for me. I looked in his brown eyes & I knew he was the man was for me. We went to Sanfratello's pizza. We talked, had pizza & had a few drink. Three hours passed & I didn't want the evening to end. We left Sanfratello's & while we were driving, we were talking & Steve asked me " So what do you think?" To my amazement I answered "I am going to marry you" WOW!!! What just came out of my mouth? That was it I knew it.... I was going to marry this man. Steve kissed my hand & said "ok". The date never ended, I was Steve's birthday present & we have been with each other ever since that day.
I moved in with Steve in December 1999 & we talked about marriage, but Steve said "We needed time together & to be patient, it will happen." Then on March 9, 2001 he popped the question & I accepted. We set a date for July 21, 2001 wedding. It is the day after a New Moon, which means new begging. Plus, it was 4 days after our two year anniversary. We were offically engaged on May 13, 2001 & alomost all the wedding plans were set. Steve gave me a platuim princess cut diamond with three princess cut diamonds on each side of the center stone. My wedding band has nine princess cut diamonds. Perfect traditional wedding band set. Steve has a solid platium wedding band. They are beautiful !!!
We still live in the same place & saving up to get our 1st house next year. We thought about getting a house right away, but it is not wise to get a house built with having a wedding. Too much stress, we looked around & found a location, but it was way too much going on so we want to enjoy our 1st year together without any stress for now. I will update & let you know when we get our house & I will show photos of it while it is developing. So now we will just enjoy a our life together & enjoy being newlyweds.
